A Romantic Enters the World

PS This is another entry for today. Just one more. Specifically for my friend Cynthia. I have written about this before. It’s an artist named Richard Stine. He is one of my favorites and an absolute hoot. Enjoy.

I have no freaking idea what this is!

It’s obviously some kind of bud getting ready to bloom. It’s a very nice pink. That is Spanish moss in the periphery. I couldn’t get the tree photos to load because they are close to 5 megs. Damn yahoo. Anyway, I just liked the colors here. I think it looks like a Chinese watercolor. (I have a very active imagination). Hope everyone is having a great day. Oh, same park in Natchez by the way.

Cypress knees in Natchez Historical Park

See my comment below about this entry.

Here’s the cow

I started to put Arthur on here last night but switched entries at the last minute. Sorry Ms. K. He wasn’t rotated properly and I was too tired to fool with it. Anyway, this is one of my cow portraits. I love to imagine what is going on behind those big round eyes. I want to take this one home and put it in my back yard. I can see why they are sacred in India. Works for me.

Here is the Mississippi River Bridge connecting Natchez and Vidalia. Louisiana on one side and Mississippi on the other. Incredible amount of history here. But that’s another story and it’s late.

Ciao babies!

Here is a photo of my bro and his buddy, Ethan. He has four kids of his own. The kid is a riot. So here’s to family: bio pseudo or otherwise.

And as for comments, I would love to hear what you have to say today about anything. It’s a free blog commentary day. You don’t have to respond to my entry. Just say what’s on your mind or in your heart. Tell

What Planet Should You Rule?

Okay people I couldn’t get the code to copy correctly and display so here is the direct link. You, too , can find out what planet you should rule. Have fun. Mine was Saturn, by the way.

Here is yet another member of my menagerie. She is Arabian and full of the devil. And she just makes me laugh. Before Katrina she lived on the same property that I did but we had to leave because there was too much damage. So here we are in Natchez and the only place that can take her here is 30 miles away. I miss her terribly. I’m trying to figure out to get her closer. She is the coolest animal. I went swimming with her in a lake before the Hurricane. Of course she got out and ran all the way home without me afterwards. I never said she had good manners. But she is my child. My very SPOILED child. Of course I had nothing whatsoever to do with that part.actually she is a sweet horse, with a great heart, she’s just very mischievious. I love her to infinity cubed.

Here is some detail of the stained glass in the cathedral. It’s huge and there are so many panels. Quite a sight. One of the parishioners has invited me to church Sunday night. I am going if I don’t go down south. It has warmed up here a little. I have finally come out from under my electric blanket. I understand more nasty weather is on the way. Ho hum. This is an emergency then, BREAK OUT THE HOT CHOCOLATE!

I really don’t have anything of interest to say right now. I want the Saints to win on Sunday. I want Brad and Angelina to go away. It ticks me off they want to live in the Quarter because it is just a cool fashion accessory to them. I appreciate all they are doing in the rest of the world– I just wish they would leave New Orleans alone. Isn’t that mean? I’m just tired of seeing them glom up the national media and now they are going to be on the local radar as well. Yuck.

This is St. Mary’s Basilica in Natchez. I understand it is the only cathedral built in Mississippi by the Catholic Church. I will add more photos and entries tomorrow. Toodles!
